Getting ready to list your house? Already on the market?
Get in the right frame of mind. Your home is now a product and you want it sold, right? Check out the competition. Are nearby listed homes showing better than yours? Are they clutter free and welcoming? Whose house would you buy?
If they answer isn't yours - you have some work to do or a homestager to hire.
Here are a few tips that help outshine the competition:
1. I've seen the light! Open the drapes and blinds and let natural light stream in. It instantly makes an impact and warms up a space.
2. I don't do windows - but I should! Wash windows inside and out to communicate to buyers that you've taken care of your property.
3. First impressions - curb appeal. Weed, clean, mulch, plant - do what you have to create a welcoming entrance. It sets the tone.
4. Kill the Clutter or kill the deal. Clutter eats equity. Most people can't envision a space other than how it is presented. If they see clutter the assume there is no space - for them and their possessions.
